Jett Kwong is a fantastic musician integrating the guzheng with truly beautiful vocals and a hefty sense of the now. Her 5-track EP featuring songs Cream, Tokyo Bath, Changes, Away, and Future blends her voice, guzheng, percussion, and other instruments into a flowing soundscape the ebbs and grows over about 19 minutes. What really sticks out to me is that Jett Kwong’s music is not guzheng first, instead the instrument is a recurring member of the cast behind her vocals. Hers is a skillful performance showcasing how much she puts into her art. Check her out on Spotify, Youtube, Instagram, and at JettKwong.com
